Do You Have a Slow Running Computer - Make Your Computer Work Faster in Minutes

By: Brad Armstrong

Wouldn't it be nice for your computer to continue to work just as well as it did when you first got it? Every time you would go to boot it up or shut it down, it would only take a few moments to perform those actions. Not to mention every time you wanted to open up a program on your computer. Your systems fast response time is one of the things that attracted you to it to begin with. Well, now unfortunately things have changed and you now have would could be called a slow running computer.

Simply booting, rebooting or shutting down your computer has become a nightmare as you sit there and watch it struggle. Those programs that once took only moments to perform their operations, now they act as if your system is constantly running something in the background slowing the whole computer up. At its worst, simply the act of typing or moving the mouse can cause your system to "pause" while it catches up or flashes confusing error messages on your screen and then reboot or shut down on their own.

But there are a few ways you can fix these problems. Here we will talk about two of the more popular options. Increasing your systems RAM and using a system and registry scanner to fix a slow running computer.

First off, RAM is a form or memory in your computer that temporarily store needed information while your system runs. When working right it allows your system to run faster by reducing the load on the hard drive for information retrieval. It's much easier to pull information right off of a RAM memory module then it is to search for the file on the hard drive.

What many computer users don't know is that even though they have not started programs, many of them take up small bits of the RAM every time you start up your computer without your knowledge. The only ways you can help fix that is to manually go in and shut those programs off or increase the RAM your computer has available. Both of these options should not be done by someone that has no experience working in their computer. One wrong move and your computer may not come back up till you get it professionally repaired.

A system and registry scanner is something even the most inexperienced computer user can take advantage of without having to know much about their computer. The registry on any Windows based operating system is vital because it keeps track of where every file is on the computer.

When you open a program or even start your computer, it makes things run much easier because your computer knows exactly where the information it is looking for is located. Through every day use though these files become corrupted for several different reasons. While the reasons may be different, the effect on your computer can range from only mildly annoying to outright infuriating.

So between these two options, increasing your systems RAM and improving its performance or getting a quality registry repair software, for most computer users the registry repair software is the much better option. Don't be surprised if the first time you run the program you have quite a few registry errors that need to be repaired. As long as you use the software as part of your regular computer maintenance, you should never experience a slow running computer again.
