Is Your Computer Slow? Seven Tips to Fix Your Computer's Speed

By: jacqueline gharibian

Many ask the question, "why my computer is so slow"?, it seems that the longer you use a computer, the slower it will go. The age of your computer is not the problem for a slow down, but the years of surfing the web, downloading different files, saving pictures and music. Before purchasing a brand new PC, try the following tips to speed up your slow computer and performance of the one you already have.

1. Run Disk Defragmenter: Disk fragmentation will close up and hinder your computer's performance. When files are broken, the computer must find the hard disk to locate all of the pieces before the file can be opened. A fragmented disk will slow your computer down , especially when you run large programs or files. If you organize your files, your computer will work faster and perform better. Use your computer's disk defragmenter at least every thirty days.

2. Repair Disk Errors: If your computer has ever crashed or shut down improperly due to a power outage, your computer may have disk errors. Windows provides an error checking utility to search the hard disk for bad sectors to repair, giving your computer extra performance as a result.

3. Remove Fonts: Many computers now feature a long list of fonts to use in word processor applications. These fonts, especially the True Type fonts, use quite a bit of your computer's system resources. To give your computer that extra boost, remove all the fonts, but those you normally use.

4. Scan for Viruses, Spyware and Adware: Most viruses can wreak havoc on your PC. There are also some other programs like spyware and adware which stay dormant in the background. Spyware and Adware can be dangerous and harmful because they collect all your personal information and show random pop up messages. So no matter what you have, whether it is a virus, spyware or adware or even all three of them, you can use some programs such as Ad-Aware and protect your personal and private information from a third party. When your computer is virus, spyware and adware free, you will see a big improvement on your computer's speed.

5. Limit Programs at Start Up: Some have set their computers to start some programs automatically, when the computer is turned on. This can slow down your computer and it is important to limit these so that they do not eat away at the speed and performance of your computer. The less that is running on your computer, the more space can be saved to run the programs you really want.

6. Clear Browser Cache: The Temporary file folders also knows as the browser cache, stores images, sounds, video, and web pages visited when surfing the web. Though this folder is designed to speed up page load times, most of the websites stored in it will never be visited or used again. You can free up some space on your computer by clearing the cache periodically

7. Delete Cookies: Most of these websites that you visit will give you a cookie and a lot of times you will never use them. So your computer will start building up thousands of cookies after some time and it will take up space on your hard drive and this will cause a slow down on your computer. To stop this from happening, you need to delete those cookies every month and keep your PC at the best performance.

Before purchasing a new computer, try to find a way to make your current PC work for you. Go over these 7 tips and start using them. You will cut down the time that you spend for your screen to load. By tweaking your computer to make it work for you, it will run at its best performance once again.

Spyware The Foe To You And Your Computer

By: Forest Mcbride

There is a good chance that if you are actively online with your computer system that in some way spyware will get installed. All it takes is just clicking on the wrong site or by signing up for some web programs. Pretty much everyday there is a new form of spyware that has been created by someone or some company that is seeking information. Also with the easy availability of high speed internet services it has made the spread of spyware even faster and easier.

Spyware was originally designed to monitor and transmit back information to its "home" or creator without the user's knowledge sometimes. This data would used to send back advertising ads usually popup to your computer. Over time spyware has changed and grown and now it has four biggest types of "malicious software" and threat to computers worldwide along with viruses, Trojans and worms.

So what are the major dangers with spyware running in the back ground on your computer system?
To start spyware can cripple your computer and slow your computer to a crawl this is due to the way installs itself and configured to start whenever you boot up your computer system and runs all the time. The spyware steals both your computer resources and also your computer internet bandwidth. If network with multiple computers like a small business or home based business then the infected system with spyware can cause the over all network to slow down.

Another issue with spyware is the danger of invasion of privacy. Remember that these programs can collect all types of data from you computer system and then send back to its creator. Spyware usually collects information that can be used for advertising, marketing to see what websites you visit on a frequent bases. However there is a always that potential to user spyware to collect personal information such as financial, credit card and personal ID the purpose of identity thief or to gain access to those accounts along with email accounts and address books for spam purposes.

The latest way to infest you computer system have gotten even worse by using a bot net. This is where a computer or group of computers with a bot or "robot" software that works together to launch attacks on other computers to infect them with spyware. These bot nets currently focus more installing spyware programs on targeted victim computers.

Some of the most common forms of spyware are Bargain Buddy, Gain, b3b projector, Gator, n-Case, SaveNow, Search Toolbar, Webhancer and Search Assistant. These are just some the current spyware out today which can be difficult to uninstall toolbars to hijackers that take over you home page and pop-up windows generators.

Promoters of spyware or Adware say that they are doing nothing wrong because in some cases you agree to the terms of the service or EULA which states that you will provide this information to these companies.

Usually spyware will store files on your computer from a few cookies to .dll files and registry entries installed on your computer. Spyware is like another type of programs on your computer and when they run it used your computers systems memory and processor to keep it running which ties up valuable system resources on your computer.

Although some people may not mind generating data for these companies but even if it is the friendliest type of spyware these types of programs can lead to issue and can even compromise the computer security.

In my experience as an IT professional that on some systems that are so infected with spyware the only way to get the computer running normally was to completely reinstall the operating system because if a system is that impacted it takes hours and hours to remove the spyware and even then some of the worse types might still be on the computer.

Spyware along with other malicious software can cause serious issues and problems with how your computer operates and although there are some spyware removal program that you can run that will help protect and remove these types of programs. A couple of programs that I recommend are Ad-Aware from Lava Soft and Spyware Doctor 3.2 from PC tools. But even with these programs I always recommend the full backup of your computer system because there are still other malicious software program and hardware issue such as hard drive failures that can occur. By running regular backups on your computer system you ensure the protection of your data.

In conclusion spyware on your computer can be a lot of trouble for the person computer or if you operate a small business or home office. The best idea is to keep your computer system free of spyware and to run software protection just incase your computer is imfected.

Computer Viruses and the Harm They Cause

By: David Bruce Jr

What is a Computer Virus ?

Computer viruses are unwanted computer programs that can invade your hard drive and cause many different types of damage. Usually viruses are created when someone writes a computer program and embeds harmful software within that program. As soon as other people begin downloading that infected program onto their computers, the virus finds it's way in and negatively alters information stored in the computers. Not one computer virus is alike, there are millions of diverse programs that cause varying amounts of damage to a computer.

Just like human viruses, computer viruses spread rapidly as soon they are created and computers are exposed to the 'infection'. Although instead of traveling through the air, computer viruses disperse themselves all over the internet, sometimes you can get a virus just by clicking on a certain webpage. Many of times computer users will have a virus in their computer for a long period of time before it is detected or before it starts causing greater damage. Even when you have anti-virus software in your computer, it will not always find every virus because the anti-virus software can only find threats already known through that program's database.

You may ask, Why would someone create such counterproductive programs?

Well, there may not be an exact answer as to why humans knowingly create computer viruses other than to get some sort of revenge or to challenge their skills. No one will be able to prevent those people from creating viruses and exposing other computers to infection, the best thing for computer users to do to prevent such invasion is to use current anti-virus software and be cautious as to what sites they visit and what files they download.

When a virus finds it's way into your computer, it will hide in your hard drive and rapidly duplicate itself just like virus cells do in humans. You may not be able to tell, but every time you save your data, you are also saving the virus. Soon enough the virus has multiplied to such a great extent that it damages your data and causes major problems.

Although the computer's ROM (Read Only Memory) will not be affected by a virus, the RAM (Random Access Memory) and your computer's disks will surely be damaged. So if the virus is only in the RAM data in your computer, when you shut the computer down the virus will be lost as well as any other memory that had been held in the random access memory (RAM).

Unfortunately if the computer virus is on your hard drive or computer disk it will remain in the computer after you restart it and it will be there whenever you use the program again. If you switch from the infected program to another program without shutting down your computer, the virus will then attach to the other program. With that happening, that virus will slowly go through infecting all of your computer's programs before you have a clue that you computer is infected.

Currently, millions and millions of dollars are spent on efforts to protect computers from viruses and eliminate destructive virus programs.

Anti-virus programs offered by commercial and shareware sources were made solely to detect and fix programs that may be virus infected. These programs should be used to scan for viruses every time you put a disk into your computer and every time you start up your computer.

Desktop Computers Buying Guide

By: Pricecy.com

Desktop Computers Buying Guide

Desktop computers might not be as flashy as laptops these days, but the larger, stationary computers still provide plenty of power and value for your money. Laptops might be flashier, but a good desktop computer still provides a few things that a laptop never can, such as an easy-to-upgrade system. When shopping for a desktop computer, it's important to focus on these categories: Accessories, cost, display, future needs, operating system, and usage expectations.

Accessories

One of the best things about a desktop computer is the wide variety of accessories you can use with them. Most computers now include drives for burning DVDs and CDs; if you want an older floppy disk drive, you might have to add it later, as very few new computers include such drives. If you plan on doing a lot of digital photography or digital video work, you'll want to make sure the desktop has all of the connectors you need, whether it be FireWire or memory card slots. Finally, most desktops have Ethernet cards now, but some don't have dial-up telephone jacks; if you need a dial-up modem, make sure the desktop model you choose has one.

Cost

Desktop computers range from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars, depending on the components and features included. Before you begin researching desktops, you'll want to make sure you set a realistic budget ... and then stick to it, no matter how tempted you are by some of the high-end models. If you're looking to cut some corners on costs, you can save money by choosing a model with a low-end graphics card, as long as you aren't planning to use the desktop for extensive video editing or gaming. Two areas where we would not recommend trying to skimp and save money are with the processor and the hard drive. Purchasing the fastest processor and the biggest hard drive that will fit into your budget will give your desktop computer the greatest longevity. Finally, even if you're looking to save a lot of money, it's tough to recommend buying a used computer; new desktop computers can be found very inexpensively these days, and you'll have the full warranty option.

Display

Depending on the desktop computer you choose, you could end up spending more on the display than on the computer itself. Large LCD screens offer great image quality, flat screens, wide-screen capabilities (16:9 aspect ratio), and lightweight units. However, LCDs are more expensive than the traditional CRT computer monitor. CRTs don't offer wide-screen capabilities, and they are extremely bulky and heavy units. But they provide good-looking images, and you'll save some money versus LCDs. Big displays are very handy for those who do a lot of video editing or gaming, or for those who need multiple windows open at one time. If you are going to choose an LCD monitor and you plan to watch movies or play games -- anything with high-speed action -- be sure you select a monitor with a low response time to avoid blurry motion problems. When shopping, be sure to know whether the desktop model you're choosing includes a display unit with the bundle. Most stores now sell desktops and monitors separately.

Future Needs

Adding items to a laptop can be difficult, but desktops are made for upgrading and additions. And, as long as your computer has plenty of USB connectors, adding new accessories is pretty easy. When you make the initial purchase of your desktop, stick to your budget, even if you can't afford all of the accessories you want initially. You always can add components and features to the desktop computer at a later date.

Operating System

When purchasing a computer, you'll typically have two choices for an operating system, Windows or Macintosh. (If you're a fan of Linux, you always can add that operating system later.) Several companies manufacture Windows-based computers, which tends to make them less expensive than Mac computers, of which Apple is the primary manufacturer. Windows computers are used in far greater numbers worldwide than Mac computers. However, with so much file sharing done via the Internet or via CDs or DVDs, you aren't as limited as you were several years ago by making sure that your operating system matched the OS of your coworkers and friends. Mac computers seem to be stronger with video editing and other types of multimedia applications; Windows computers have long been the choice of the business world. One thing to keep in mind: Because Windows computers are more plentiful, software and hardware makers tend to focus more of their products and attention on the Windows market. Essentially, it's tough to go wrong with either type of operating system.

Usage Expectations

Knowing how you expect to use the computer will help you when shopping. For example, if you want a smaller desktop with some portability options, you might want to choose a small-form-factor (SFF) computer. It won't offer the expandability of a full-tower desktop case, but it does offer an advantage in smaller size and lower weight. If you want to use the unit for high-end gaming, you'll need a high-end graphics card and a powerful, more expensive unit. If, however, you mainly want to use the desktop computer for E-mail and the Internet, you probably can survive with a low-cost unit.

If you find yourself frustrated over the technical jargon you encounter when shopping for a computer, you just need to keep a few things in mind. First, the CPU, or central processing unit, is the brains of the computer and is one area that you cannot upgrade easily later. Buy the fastest, most powerful processor you can afford. Second, don't be swayed much by the items and software bundled with the computer. For most people, the bundled items aren't going to meet their needs. Focus on the items you want and need. Third, buy an external backup hard drive system ... and use it. After all, your personal data is more valuable than any other part of your computer.

Finally, be sure you have firewall and anti-virus protection on your computer, especially if it will be connected to a high-speed (broadband) Internet connection. Without strong protections, your computer will be a target for hackers. If you are unsure about how to set up protection, make sure you purchase the computer from a local store that can provide help for a fee. It's better to be safe than sorry, especially when your personal data is at risk.

6 Ways to Increase Computer Performance

By: Deepak Gupta

High performance of a computer system is the factor that every computer user looks for. Here, from the phrase high performance of a computer system, I mean the speed of a computer that is how fast a computer responds to you. For example, you are trying to open a document but your computer takes more time to open the document than the usual time required to open the document. This means your computer's performance is low. There can be many reasons for a system's low performance, such as hardware configuration, temporary files, and startup programs. If your computer is showing low performance, you need to consider following tasks:

o Checking the hardware configuration o Executing the disk cleanup o Performing the virus scan o Uninstalling the unused programs o Customizing the startup programs o Cleaning your desktop o Using a pen drive

Checking the Hardware Configuration

A system with good hardware configuration provides good performance. If your system is giving low performance then first check its hardware configurations. To get a better performance from Windows Vista, your system's hardware configuration should be as follows:

o Pentium IV processor with 3.00 GHZ speed or Core 2 Duo o 1 GB RAM

If your system's hardware configuration is less than the aforementioned configuration, you need to upgrade your system. You can know the hardware configuration of your system by executing the following step:

Select Start -> Control Panel -> System.

Executing the Disk Cleanup

When you work on a computer, Windows creates some temporary files that may reduce your computer's performance. Therefore, you should continuously remove those temporary files. Apart from this, a computer contains a large number of files and folders among which some are not of your use. You should compress those files and folders. Compressing old files and folders increases the hard disk space while reduces the space for operating system to search for files and folders. This also increases your computer's performance. You should also empty Recycle Bin folder because the files and folders present in this folder also consume disk space. You can perform these entire tasks by executing the Windows disk cleanup utility. Let's now perform the following steps to execute the Windows disk cleanup utility:

1. Select Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Disk Cleanup. The Disk Cleanup dialog box appears.

2. Select the system drive you want to clean and click the Ok button. Now, the system starts searching for the files and folders to free the disk space.

3. After the searching of files and folders completes, the Disk Cleanup dialog box appears again. This time it shows the space that can be cleaned. System segregates the searched files and folders in to various categories, such as temporary files and files and folders present into Recycle bin.

4. Select the check boxes besides various categories in the Disk Cleanup dialog box.

5. Click the Ok button after selecting the check boxes. The Disk Cleanup dialog box appears again to confirm the disk cleanup process.

6. Click the Delete Files button to confirm and continue the disk cleanup process. The disk cleanup process starts. After the disk cleanup process completes, the Disk Cleanup dialog box disappears.

Performing Virus Scan

A virus is a program that harms your computer and reduces computer's performance. The most common reason for a computer to come in contact of viruses is Internet surfing. When you surf Internet then many viruses may attack your computer and slow down your computer's performance. To get rid of viruses, you should execute an antivirus installed on your computer on regular time intervals.

Uninstalling the Unused Programs

An operating system contains many programs installed in it. Those programs use the computer's memory even when you do not use them. Therefore, you should uninstall the programs that are not of your use. You can uninstall the programs on Windows Vista by performing the following steps:

1. Click Start -> Control Panel. The Control Panel window appears.

2. Select the Classic View on the left pane and then double-click the Programs and Features option. A list of the programs installed on your system appears.

3. Select the program that you want to uninstall.

4. Right-click the mouse and select the Uninstall option.

A wizard to uninstall the selected program opens. Follow that wizard to uninstall the selected program.

Customizing the Startup Programs

Many programs load into computer memory on its startup along with the programs that are required to run the operating system. You may not need to use all of the programs that automatically start on computer startup. However, you are not using these programs; they utilize computer's memory and therefore, reduce the performance of your computer. Some of the programs, such as Yahoo messenger, MSN messenger, Google talk, Google updates, Winamp, Adobe updates, and so on start automatically on computer startup. You should change these programs' settings so that they will not start automatically. In Windows Vista, you can manage startup programs by performing the following steps:

1. Select Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt. The command prompt appears.

2. Type msconfig in windows command prompt. The System Configuration dialog box appears.

3. Select the Startup tab. It displays the list of the programs that startup automatically on computer startup.

4. Uncheck the programs that you do not want to start automatically on computer startup and click the Apply button.

5. Click the Ok button. Now restart the system to make the changes effective.

Cleaning your Desktop

When you start a computer, operating system loads the desktop items. Therefore, if your desktop contains more items, computer takes more time to boot and affects the system performance. You should not place heavy files and folders on desktop rather you should create shortcut of files and folders on desktop for their easy access. Shortcuts consume less computer memory than complete files and folders. A computer, which only contains shortcuts on desktop perform much better than a computer that contains heavy files and folders on desktop. You should take care about cleaning your desktop for better computer performance.

Don't Confuse Refurbished Laptop Computer with Poor Quality Technology

Don't Confuse Refurbished Laptop Computer with Poor Quality Technology

By: scott.jack

Many shoppers confuse a refurbished laptop computer with inferior quality merchandise. In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. In a very large number of cases, computer shoppers buying a refurbished laptop computer can make a money saving purchases. More often than not, consumer hesitations associated with purchasing a refurbished laptop computer are overblown. These laptop computers are very often factory re-engineered and re-tested to the same rigorous manufacturing standards as brand new computers.

In the simplest definition, a refurbished laptop computer is a computer that has been repaired, cleaned, and restored to its original condition. These laptops have been repaired or made as good as new. A refurbished laptop computer almost always comes with a full warranty from the manufacturer. In fact, one of the best ways to spot a quality refurbished laptop computer is to determine if a full warranty is offered to the potential shopper. The presence of a warranty means every aspect of the refurbished laptop computer has been brought back to the original electronic specifications.

Refurbished Notebook Computers

Refurbished notebook computers offer a very healthy, pocket pleasing cost benefit. In almost every case, the refurbished notebook computer is priced well below the cost of a brand new laptop computer. All of the major laptop computer manufacturers off their refurbished notebooks at reduced prices, when compared to the price of a brand new laptop with the same specifications. Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Compaq, Apple, Lenovo and other laptop manufacturers offer refurbished laptop computers at their outlet locations on the web. Without a doubt, the smartest way to obtain a refurbished notebook computer is to buy it directly at the manufacturer's outlet store, or at one of their authorized vendors. The Manufactures themselves and their authorized vendors take great care to offer the buying public quality products at cheap prices because they want positive feedback after the sale from satisfied customers.

Of course, it is important for shoppers to research the refurbished, cheap laptops they are considering for purchase. While a refurbished notebook computer is, in general, a cheap laptop computer, it is usually the case that the hard drive and amount of ram cannot be upgraded at the time of purchase. A cheap laptop computer, such as a refurbished laptop from a major manufacture outlet store, is usually a "buy as is" item. This means that the individual components cannot be upgraded at the time of purchase. While a cheap laptop computer may not offer the purchaser upgrade options at the exact time of purchase, they are still great bargains because the warranty offers replacement services for the components that accompany the cheap laptop computer.

Cheap Laptop Computer

Cheap laptop computer is not to be confused with poor quality because they are a lot less expensive than their newer counterparts. On the contrary, since refurbished laptop computers have been restored to their original specifications, they are simply less expensive than new machines. Now, it maybe the case that the cheap laptop computer which has been refurbished is an older model, but that does not mean it isn't fully functional or that it cannot be upgraded after the purchaser has taken possession of the cheap laptop computer. in fact, given that bigger hard drives, ram and new keyboards can be easily purchased from resellers of laptop parts, the cheap laptop computer is an excellent consideration for those on a tight budget, such as most college students or the retired person just learning how to use a computer for the first time.

The purchase of a cheap laptop computer that will fit your computing needs does require some research and cost comparison before making the final purchase. Ordinarily, consideration before the purchase of a cheap laptop computer should be given to the type of software to be run on the computer, the amount of ram necessary to run the software smoothly and the weight of the entire laptop. However, the purchased of a cheap laptop computer that has been refurbished to meet the original manufacture specifications can be a financially rewarding experience. For those on a budget and those buying a first computer, a cheap laptop computer that meets the users' researched requirements and comes with a standard refurbished laptop computer warranty can be a very smart and rewarding approach for first time computer buyers.

Enhance The Performance of Your Mac With Apple Computer Memory Chipe

By: Vikram kuamr

One of the things that you are going to want to make sure you keep on top of is your computer memory.  Having a loss of memory or little memory on your computer will slow it down.  This rings true no matter what type of computer you have, an Apple or a PC.  You can increase the memory of your computer by getting products right online that you can easily install on your own.  If you have an Apple computer, for example, you can get Apple computer memory chips that will enhance the performance of your Mac.

Before you increase your computer memory, you need to realize which type of system you are using.  Of course, most people know if they are using an Apple or a Windows system, but you also need to be aware that the components to increase the computer memory are different.  When you want to add memory to your Apple, you need to use an Apple computer memory component.  This will make your computer run faster.

As we continue to use our computers, they start to slow down.  This is because we often install different programs that zap the memory that we have on the computer.  Most people do not even realize that their computers are gradually losing memory until the device is working so slow that they get frustrated.  A computer that often crashes can be the result of too little memory as well.  Before getting rid of the computer and getting another one, you are better off to check out the memory that you have left in your computer.  If you see that you have very little computer memory left, this is probably the cause for your computer acting up.  You can then go online and get an easy to install memory chip that will make your computer run like new again.  This is a lot cheaper than purchasing a new computer or taking it in and having someone perform this easy service for you.

You can get Apple computer memory chips as well as those for your PC when you go online.  In addition, if you have a Blackberry or other electronic device that slows down, you can also revamp it by getting products that are replacements, such as a Blackberry housing kit.  You do not have to get rid of a perfectly fine computer just because it is not working fast.  Chances are that you have too much information stored on your hard drive.  When you enhance computer memory, you will start to see a big improvement as to how your computer works.

If you have an Apple computer, you do not have to go to the Apple store to get Apple computer memory.  You can get it right online and save quite a bit of money.  In such hard economic times, it makes better sense to enhance your Apple computer memory rather than buy a new laptop or desk top computer.  You can install the chip right on your own and have your computer running fast again.

HP Computer Memory Chips Enhance The Speed & Memory of your HP Computer

HP Computer Memory Chips Enhance The Speed & Memory of your HP Computer

By: Vikram kuamr

One of the most important aspects of your computer is your computer memory.  Having low memory will make your computer run slow and may even cause it to crash once in a while.  If you have any type of computer, you can enhance the memory yourself by ordering what you need right online.  If you have an HP computer, you can get an HP computer memory chip that will give your laptop more speed and memory in the hard drive.

When you first get your HP computer, it runs very fast.  As you continue to use it and install new software to the computer, however, you will start to see it slow down.  It will not run as fast as it did when you first received the computer.  This is because you are using more computer memory each time you install new software.  Your HP computer memory may start to diminish, causing your computer to go very slow.  You may, at this point, start to think that there is something wrong with your computer.

While you should get rid of any programs that you do not need  to enhance your HP computer memory, there are some programs that you are going to want to keep.  You can also clean up the hard drive on your computer by putting some information on a flash drive which you can purchase right online as well.  However, in many cases, even when you do your best to enhance your computer memory such as getting rid of unwanted programs and photos, that take up a lot of space on your hard drive, your computer will still run slow. The last thing you want is for your HP computer to crash to the point where the hard drive is shot.  This is why it is so important to keep up with your HP computer memory and know where you stand.

You can enhance the computer memory easily on your own.  If you have an HP computer, you can get chips that will give you more HP computer memory that you can put into your laptop on your own without having to take it in for a repair.  Most people rely on their computers for every day use.  Most of us who use computers use them every day for business and social reasons.  Being without your computer while it is in the shop for HP memory increase is inconvenient.  Instead of taking your computer in, you can save the time and money by getting a chip for computer memory.  You just need to know which type of system you are using and which type of computer you have.  Naturally, if you have an HP computer, you are going to want to get HP computer memory chips that will work with your computer.  Once you increase the memory of your computer, you will see an improvement as to how your equipment runs. You do not have to get rid of your computer or even take it in for repairs when you order computer memory chips that you can get inexpensively right on the internet.

Enhance Your Experience With Increased Toshiba Computer Memory

By: Vikram kuamr

Your Toshiba computer will run a lot better when you increase your Toshiba computer memory.  The longer you have your computer, the more memory you tend to use as you continue to keep things on your hard drive and also add software to your computer.  You can increase your DDR memory on your own and your equipment will run much faster and more efficiently.  You do not have to take your computer into the computer store in order to do this.  You can do this on your own when you purchase Toshiba computer memory products that will enhance your DDR memory on your computer.

A great deal of people do not even realize that they are using up so much memory on their computer as they continue to enjoy using their computers and download different photos, programs and even text.  However, this tends to use up quite a bit of memory.  Laptop computers have a lot less memory than a desk top computer, but most people today use the laptops as they are more convenient to use for travel and even to use around the house.  The one problem with the laptop computers is that you tend to go through your DDR memory very fast.  If you have a Toshiba computer, for example, you may want to get your equipment to run in tip top shape by increasing your Toshiba computer memory with a chip.

This is not difficult to do and you can find DDR memory for any computer when you go online.  When you increase your Toshiba computer memory, you may be able to not only have a faster running computer, but also use software that you may not be able to use if you have low memory in your computer.  If you download software, especially gaming software, and your computer continues to crash, that means that the DDR memory will not hold the software.  You can fix this problem by getting more DDR memory for your computer. If your laptop is a Toshiba, then you will want to look for Toshiba computer memory products.  This will enable you to run the software that you want to run right on your laptop without having to worry about it crashing all of the time.

By installing the Toshiba computer memory on your own, you not only save money as it costs a fraction to purchase DDR memory online as it does in the computer store, but you also save time.  It is far more convenient for you to put this device into your computer yourself.  You also save on any labor costs that a computer store will charge you for this service.  If you own a computer, then it is in your best interest to learn as much as you can about the computer itself as well as how you can enhance it by improving the DDR memory.  You just need to know which type of chip that you want.  The amount of memory that you are looking for when it comes to Toshiba computer memory will dictate the price of the memory chip  Regardless of how much memory that you want to install, this is still cheaper to do it yourself and order the part online than taking it in for service where they will not only charge you more for the DDR memory chip, but also for labor.  On top of that, they may need to keep your computer for a few days while you are without it, waiting for an increase in your Toshiba computer memory.

Buy Used Computers

By: magicstar56

It may be a hard fact to swallow but the truth is except US rest of the world has an ever increasing market for used computers for their greater reliability and low prices. Why is that so and what point US users are missing? We will look into this here.

Whenever one is in need of a computer here in USA the only option he has in mind is buying a new computer or the latest version which includes paying a lot of premium on it with out taking into account seriously whether it is suitable for their use or not. It is usually because of two reasons; 1) the trend that buying a computer means buying a new one only, and 2) the perceived notion that latest is the best. What? You find no problem with these trends? Let us look into them so that you realize what is wrong with them. Both of these conceptions are induced into consumer's thinking with the help of commercials and ads. These capitalist adverts have made us think that whenever you buy something buy new. And when you buy some thing buy its latest models when we should be buying what suits our needs, budget and manageability. Also there is no guarantee that when we buy new and the latest we will get what we need and find it useful. If you go few centuries back when marketing industry was not into this boost as it is now you will see people bought old things as eagerly as the old ones depending on the usability. Had this idea 'buy new only' been an old one than Aladdin of Arabian nights would not have bothered to rub that old oil lamp to use it again. So first of all get your mind free from commercial induced notions; 'buy the new X model and live a smooth life…', 'get the latest X and live a trouble free life…' because it simply does not happen. Open your eyes and search with their help a Computer that fulfills your needs as well as fit your budget. There is no need to keep up to date with the latest. Be wise and spend intelligently on the one that suits your usage not the new, latest, fastest or most talked about.

Another important fact to know for those still not convinced. Do you know that there are many people out there who prefer a used computer over the latest? Yes there are many who prefer a used computer for some of the features of used computers that do not accompany the new. Used computers are preferred for older versions of operating system and soft wares which give more space to access and store documents and media files. Older versions occupy less space and do not come heavy on the system. Used computers are also preferred for their easy operations as it is less complex to operate them because of which organizations providing computer training prefer them for teaching basics, parents opt for them so that their children find it easy to learn computer and grown ups who encountered computer at the age of 40s and 50s chose them because they find operating a used computer less complex. Victor Epand an expert consultant for computers, laptops and software writes in his article 'why buy used compuetr'  "If compatibility (with newer versions of soft ware and operating systems) is found to be fine with then there is no problem with the Used computers"

Now come to basic problem, the American nature 'not to buy a used thing. In most of the cases where a used computer is not of a very old version the only problem people find with a Used Computer is it was used earlier. My question is; do you really think that a new computer comes straight into your hands after getting assembled?? No, it is not possible. Every computer is used and tested for its functionality before getting packed in the box as new!

Also used computer come with better offers and lower prices like those available at Electro Computer Warehouse so just think what else you can buy along with the computer this time or how much you can save. On a used computer you pay less, save premium and get yourself free from worries because a used computer is easily replaceable. So buy a new computer, grapple with it and change it when you learn what suits you more.

In today's days of on going recession, used computers are the best solution for the budget conscious users. Just choose one from wide range available at Electro Computer Warehouse and see for yourself because those who ever bought a used computer hardly buy a new next time. So choose yourself…
