So why do numerous computer repair technicians find it so simple to end up demolishing the customer's data and formating their hard drive as a solution to a PC Computer repair problem? Here are a couple of of the reasons.
1. They in truth do not know how to repair the problem. This is the number one reason. Most of the time this is the method most frequently practiced by "Gurus" that have minimal skill in really troubleshooting and repairing Computers, you acknowledge who they are. Thus, they can make more money by engaging the speediest route to getting the PC Computer up and running again. Again this is not ordinarily in the client's best interest because they end up by and large losing their information and needing to Re-image all of their software applications on their own.
3. Laziness. This incorporates a fragment of both of the preceding plus a poor attitude, but is really self-explanatory. The PC technician or the company philosophy is to take the easy way out, head off potential ramifications, get the Computer out the door fixed, and do so with the smallest amount of effort, time and expense. It is a "repair mill" mentality. In general, they just don't worry about the customer. Rather, it is all about whatsoever is easiest and most profitable. Again, the consumer becomes an blameless victim of amateurish business attitudes and patterns.
A comment response by a self-declared PC Computer repair guru on a forum posting by some other newbie technician asking "What's a good turnaround time on PC Computer fix for clients?" read the following: "It really counts on patronage, If you want to do this in a full time extent, you should be able to do this in about 8 to 12 hours. If you just reimage the PC it shouldn't take more than 2 hours." I guess we know how he operates.
A true computer repair tech can conclude virtually any problem without resorting to formatting a hard drive and reimaging the OS, also referred to as reimaging a PC. A PC repair tech with a genuine concern for the consumer's best interest will use everything in their arsenal to fix a problem before resorting to a total reimaging of a PC Computer system.
In my own Tucson PC repair, I can site a lot of cases wherein a client brought a PC to me because they were told by some other PC repair person that it was essential to reimage the customer's PC Computer resulting in absolute loss of their information, only to ascertain that indeed, it could be restored without any loss. Yes, sometimes it costs more than than reimaging a system as a result of the extended repair processes, but the client more often than not would preferably pay a bit more than lose all their data, and all too frequently, their treasured libraries of family memories on the Desktop Computer in digital pictures.
My suggestion to consumers is to ask around and discover the reputation of the Computer repair tech. Don't be unwary and easily accept a PC repair technician's statement that a total wipe and Re-image of the hard drive is required. Drill them on the causes why it is inevitable, and what the choices are. At the very least, always tell a PC repair person or company that they should contact you for authorization prior to formatting your hard drive and reinstalling your PC. Be conscious as well, that numerous of the large franchise operations use a business model wherein a series of mandated nominal troubleshooting gradations are taken on before the company policy dictates a total Reimage of the Desktop Computer is required for problem resolution.

When the personal computer was merely a word-processing gadget, there were scattered opportunities to teach students limited reading and writing skills, but no real offering of any exciting new ways to teach subjects including social studies, science, and, above all, reading.
With the explosion of the personal computer into an advanced world of enhanced graphics and increasingly complex programs, the computer became more than a black screen with white words and a blinking cursor. Computers became truely interactive tools that enabled educators to stimulate their students' imaginations.
