Upload home video to your computer

Video Editing is the term used to take your home video, webcam video or a video from YouTube or the web, and upload it to your home computer. You can then edit your video by making it shorter or longer, adding music or adding graphics or extra video. If your computer is fairly old, it probably won't be able to deal with your video. Video clips take up a huge amount of space.
First, upload your video clips into your computer. You need a firewire port on your computer so you can hook your camcorder to upload footage to your hard drive. Most camcorders - Hi8, digital 8, mini DV or Disk cameras have a firewire or a DV (digital Video) port somewhere on the outside of the case. Open all the compartments on your camcorder to find it, as there are a lot of different connector possibilities. If your camcorder didn't come with an A/V cable with a USB on the other end, you will have to buy a firewire cable. Most camcorder manufacturers don't include a firewire cable when you buy the camera.
If your camcorder is an older model and only has the typical red/white/yellow A/V cable, you will need a video converter, like the Dazzle DVD Recorder, made by Pinnacle. This converter has a USB connector on one end and a video and audio receptacle for you to plug in you're A/V cable from your camcorder. The video converter converts your video clips into an AVI (audio video information) and that's what you will use for your editing.
If you are brand new to video editing, I highly recommend Windows Movie Maker and if you are ready to edit your footage you might as well upload it right to that program. There are also many very reasonably priced video editing programs available: Adobe Premiere Elements, Pinnacle Studio, Sony Vegas, and Muvee just to name a few. But for the beginner, there's nothing better than Windows Movie Maker, and you should try that program first to make sure you like video editing.
If you can't find Movie Maker in your computer, search for it by hitting the start button and then search. I would suggest leaving off the word Windows from your search so it doesn't bring up all the rest of the Windows related files. If you can't find it do a Google search for Windows Movie Maker and download the latest version because it's free!
Once you have opened the Windows Movie Maker program, go to File, and then select Capture Video. When you plugged in the Dazzle converter you should also have used the Dazzle Software CD that activated it. If not, you can go to the Pinnacle site and download the appropriate software for your version of the converter. So when you select file capture you should see the Dazzle box as a capture device option.
You will also need to test the audio coming from the Dazzle box. There is an audio meter that measures the audio level of your video so record just a few seconds before you do a lot of capturing just to make sure you are getting audio. You can also see that the Dazzle device has an S Video and composite selection. S Video is a little better quality than composite so if you happen to have an SVideo cable connection available out of your camcorder or VHS machine, you should use it.
There will be several screens in the Capture Video process that ask you what you want to label your clip and where you want to file it. Be specific because once you start uploading you'll probably put a lot of video onto your hard drive, and being specific will help you find it in search later on. The My videos folder works fine as a filing spot, but as you have more projects you may want to begin to create specific files for each project.
The last screen in the video capture process asks you what format you want to use to capture your video. There are a lot of choices but the two most important are DV AVI and WMV. The default is WMV and it is labeled, "Best quality for playback on my computer" because it saves space, but it isn't the best quality. It's the WMV file format and although it doesn't take up as much hard drive space it's just not the quality you want if you are going to go to all the trouble to edit this video. You will have to judge whether you have enough hard drive space to be able to handle the best quality video, but in the long run you will be happier with your final product. So choose the DV AVI option if it's available. Then hit Start Capture and begin to upload your video clips into your computer.
When you have uploaded all your video, click stop capture and Windows Movie Maker will load the clip into collections. Play it back to make sure you are seeing and hearing what you meant to upload. Now drag the video clip down to the timeline and you are ready to get started editing. There are many free Windows Movie Maker tutorials on the web, and one of the best is on the Microsoft website.
One more thing about video clips on your hard drive. They are very easy to lose! Here is the easiest way to find your video clips. Double click My Computer on your desktop. Then go to My Documents and find My Videos. Double click My Videos, go up to the top menu bar and click Views. Select details and click Date Modified twice. That will show you the last video clips you saved on your hard drive. I hope this helped you learn how to start the video editing process by uploading video clips into your computer. More and more, parents report a difficulty concerning children's TV addiction. "It is very annoying" Parents say. "The child indifference shows no respect!" they complain.
Indeed, it is not pleasant to talk to someone who does not listen. It is very easy for parents to complain about their inattentive child, but - are these parents being attentive to their children who watch television? In many cases, parents think they are, when in fact, they are not. If parents would look at a child who watches TV before they address him, they will see that the child does not notice them. Parents hold on to a fantasy in which the moment they talk to their child, the child immediately turn all his attention to the parent (and of course cooperate). But that's a fantasy. In reality, it is hard for the child to notice a parent (or any other stimuli for that matter) when they watch TV. This ability is not developed among children at early childhood. When a parent speaks to a child who does not listen to him, a parent can get angry with the child. To avoid that, patent's need to make sure that the child listens to them before they continue talking (call the child's name and only when the child looks at you, continue). As a parent, you ask your child not to disturb you when you are on the phone. As a parent, you are also asked to look at your child and see if he is in a listening positioning before you categories him as un respectful.
Another difficulty that characterized this addiction is the fact that children do not want to stop watching TV since its fun. Furthermore, they hate to stop it the second you asked them to. Parents on their part may have a very good reason to ask the child to stop to watch TV instantly. Even so, they still expect the child to stop doing something they love, and moreover, to do so with love and understanding. To understand how difficult that is, I dare you readers to think about a situation where you're immersed in something that you love doing, when suddenly you are asked to stop it at once? •When you want to thee a child something while he is engaged in something else, before you speak, call the child's name and wait for a response. Once you make sure the child is listening, continued talking. Make sure that the child keeps looking at you since their attention can easily be distracted. It's less frustrating to realize that you said only one word and find out that no one listened, than to finish a whole monolog and then realize it.
•The end of a show is a good time to talk to them or ask them to stop watching TV. At that time, they experience less "loss" and may be more attentive and cooperative.
•If you can not or do not want to wait for the end of the show, silence the TV, and make sure the child looks at you when you talk.
•Be focused and short when you talk to the child who watches TV (this is not the time for philosophical talks).
•If you want the children to do something else instead of watching TV, make sure to provide them with an attractive alternative. This may require you to be with them.
Bottom line: If you want the children to respect you, then respect them. Show them how it is done right.
The same strategy can be considered when trying to wean children from other addictive activities (such as candy eating, computer playing etc.).

The processor is mainly the brain of the computer because it controls all the processes done through the computer from typing to transferring data to remote computers. Inside the processor there are some basic elements the work together to make the processor functional. These elements are as follow:
1. Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU): This is the main block in the processor and the most important. The ALU is responsible for performing all the computations needed through the processor. When the user, for example, enters a numbers to add, this unit makes the computation and outputs the result to the output devices. All the arithmetic operations such as adding, subtraction, multiplying, or division is performed using this unit. Also the logical operations such as ANDing, ORing are also done using this unit. The unit accepts the data, then performs the operations and then output the results to other units inside the processor.
2. Registers: This is another type of devices existed inside the processor. The registers are responsible for saving temporarily the results obtained from other devices such as ALU. One can think of registers as a short term memory as it save some values for a short period of time and then takes other values as needed by the computing devices. For example when you add two numbers if you take the first two numbers and add them and see the result is higher than ten you save the remaining in your head and this saving corresponds to putting the number remained in a register.
3. Busses. This is the third type of components existed inside the processor. The main use of the bus is to transfer any type of data between components inside the processor or among the processor and the remaining devices inside the computer such as motherboard. The buses are divided into three main subtypes:
A. data bus: this type is used to transfer the data bytes between elements inside the processor. For example when the ALU outputs the result it may transfer it to registers by the data bus. It is named so because it is responsible to transfer only data bytes.
B. Address bus: this type of buses is used to fetch certain data from memory based on the number on the address bus. For example if the address bus has a binary value of 1101. Then it will fetch the value in memory in that address. Thus the address bus tells the processing units where to find the data in memory or where to put the computed data in memory.
C. Control bus: this type of buses is used to transfer control signals between elements of the processor. For example, when an instruction is decoded that it has addition operation, it will inform the ALU that the operation is addition by putting certain value on the control bus. 4. Decoders: this type of devices is used to tell the processor what must be done based on the instructions in the memory written by users. Bus Physical Topology
Best used in small area of network. Bus topology also known in Mac world
as daisy-chaining.In the bus topology the cable runs from computer to computer
making each computer a link of a chain. Different types of cable determine
way of network can be connected. If your network using Thicknet coaxial cable,
then the bus network will have a central backbone cable. If you using smaller
cable (Taps) it will have backbone to each PC in the network. The biggest
problem with bus topology is that if it's not terminated correctly then your
network can't transmit correctly
Star Topology
In the star topology, each server and workstation connected into central
hub that provides connection to another device connected to the hub and it
