Slow Computer Solutions

Easy Slow Computer Solutions

There are quite a few reasons why your computer may be slow, but you need to be careful which you choose to pursue. If you go with a solution that takes much more time to complete, you may be missing out on the ease of a faster solution.

Below are Slow Computer Solutions to Consider

Slow Computer Solution- Clean Your Registry

The most frequent issue I see people experience with their computer is having too many items in their computer registry. Think of your registry as the place where the computer holds all the requests you ask it to do. When there are too many things you ask it to do, then the computer gets confused and slows down. You need to be sure to keep your registry updated correctly so that your computer functions quickly.

If you think you're having this problem then you shouldperform a registry check to see if your computer registry is bogged down. If it's got too much information in the registry, then you're easily able to clean the registry. You will be amazed at the increased speed of your computer.

You can do this process manually, but you need to be sure to be careful as you can make changes that will cripple your computer if it's done wrong. There are a range of free and paid computer registry programs. I've evalutated my favorite three at my website here. Read my evalutations and let me know if these make your computer work better.

Below are other solutions that may work. Some of these may work out for you, but I encourage you to review them all. I still think the registry scan is your best option, you can give any of these a try and check your results.

Slow Computer Solution- Cleanup Disk Space

If you have lots of software installed on your computer, you need to clean up some of the software you don't use. This software can fill up your disk space quickly and cause your computer to process requests very slowly. You should go through your computer and figure out which software you don't use regularly so that you can remove it.

If you downloaded videos from the internet, consider putting these on a separate harddrive or burning them to cd discs. This will help you free up the space that these files are taking up on your computer, as music and video files are rather large and can fill up your computer quickly, causing it to run slow.

Slow Computer Solution- Check for SpyWare

If your computer is not going fast, you may have adware on the computer. Adware is small software that runs in the background of your computer. Having lots of adware running can cause your computer memory to get used up while you're using the computer. This will cause your a slow computer.

Spyware ends up on your computer from websites you have been to, emails opened on your computer, and downloaded files. Be careful as to which websites you visits and what you do on your computer, as you should only deal with websites, emails, and file downloads that you trust.

To free your computer from Spyware, you need to run a simple program test to see if it has spyware. The test results will tell you if there is adware on your computer and how to remove it. If you do not have spyware, then you should consider one of the other solutions.

The most frequent thing going wrong on my client's computers, and fastest to eliminate, is that the registry of the computer is taken up with too much information and is unable to do what you're asking it to do. Even if you decide not to purchase the software, you will find that most of the software reviewed on my website by clicking here provides a free scan of your computer. This will help you realize if it's the registry causing the problem.

Best of luck with your slow computer solutions.
