Install anti-virus software – It is a must to install an anti-virus software onto your computer for virus protection. If your computer has an anti-virus software installed it can detect the viruses in an e-mail or in a file and can stop it before it could harm your computer. Many antivirus software programs also offer free updates which help your computer to fight against the latest bugs.

A personal firewall – Is your computer connected with the internet constantly? If yes, you can think of buying a personal firewall for your computer. If a personal firewall is installed in your computer, the hackers cannot hack into for confidential information like security numbers, credit card numbers, etc.
