Cloud computing also allows enterprises and users to compare products with much more ease. While there are seemingly endless benefits to be gained from the cloud, there are also certain risk factors to be considered. One major factor is the need for vast storage resources for the service providers as they would be storing all the information on their servers on behalf of users. Security and integrity of data would also be a major cause for concern as transmissions and transactions on the internet are easier to intercept than on local networks or computers.

Despite these shortcomings, the benefits of cloud computing far outweigh the risks, clearly demonstrating why the concept is drawing so much attention and gaining in popularity.
