Computer Desktops

A Computer Desktop can be described as a personal computer (PC) taken in the form of a system that is mainly used in one designated location.  A Computer Desktop is not intended to be transportable, like a Computer Laptop.  These computer systems are often placed on a desk or table for the user to operate easily and readily.  However, Computer Desktops are made in a variety of sizes and shapes.  The two most commonly used Computer Desktops are a tower case, and a small form factor.  Both models are able to be placed behind a LCD monitor.  Modern day Computer Desktops are built to have separate keyboards and screens.

Computer Desktop can also be manufactured to be an All-in-One Computer Desktop, where the computer is combined with the monitor.  Companies such as Apple have built various examples of this All-in-One Computer.  The ability for All-in-One Computers to be more transportable, gives this model an advantage over the typical Computer Desktop.

Despite the evolution of the Personal Computer or PC, Computer Desktops continue to be purchased and used by many.  One of the biggest advantages of a Computer Desktop is its lesser power consumption as oppose to Computer Laptops.  This is mainly because a Computer Desktop is powered through a wall socket.  In addition to power consumption, the system also has more room to cool off and allow heat to escape.  These are the underlying reasons why Computer Desktops continue to be used today.  No matter what new creation is introduced, Computer Desktops remain an original masterpiece of the computer industry.  They will continue to be used by professionals, students, children, and many more.
