1. Remove unused or unwanted programs or files to free some disk space. Empty the recycle bin and remove cookies and temporary files and clean your desktop. 3. Defragment your computer when it stars to run slow. When programs and files become fragmented it will take longer for your computer to search the hard disk to retrieve files and programs. Before doing this be sure to back up all your files you do not need or use frequently to another hard disk or in a CD or DVD or to a usb stick. This will free up even more space and allow the remaining files to be defragmented properly for a slow compuuter fix.

4. Clean your computer. Make it dust free and dirt free. The slow speed of your computer might also be because of hardware overheating which will happen if fans become blocked and only hot air circulates in your computer.

5. Your computer registry might have become corrupted so you need to fix this. This will cause crashes and freezes, many error messages, slow computer speed and slow start up time. Fixing this will improve computer performance and get rid of most of the problems you see on your computer.
